Human Biographies

• Dirk Anderson

  After studying Journalism and Communications at Whitworth College, Dirk worked for seven years at Merrill Lynch, holding the positions of Vice President and Financial Advisor. He and Peter Fisher became one of their top advisory teams, overseeing assets of over $250mm, before starting Human Investing. Dirk is also invested in an organization that provides small business loan programs in Africa, as well as education and orphan support. Click here for Dirk's POV.

• Peter Fisher

  After studying Economics at Linfield College, Peter received his MBA from the Graduate School of Management at George Fox University. Peter spent the next eight years at Merrill Lynch, working his way up to Vice President and Resident Director before starting Human Investing with Dirk Anderson. • Eric Dahm

  Eric graduated from Oregon State University in 2000 with a degree in Business and a minor in Pre-Law. He was also a member of the OSU men’s golf team, and, after graduating, played golf professionally for two years in Arizona as a member of The Gateway Tour. In August of 2003, Eric opened a branch office for a mortgage company, helping his clients integrate their mortgages with their overall financial plans. In addition to his impressive handicap, he is also a Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist.

• Ted Grigsby

  Ted graduated from the University of Oregon in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Finance. He worked at Franklin Templeton Investments for over four years before taking an opportunity to study in Eastern Europe. Ted is involved in Third World country development projects and served in Young Life for seven years.

• Shelly Chase

  Shelly is a graduate of George Fox University. Her 15+ years of expertise in financial services and community service help to provide a great experience for our clients. In addition to being a mother and wife, she is an avid volunteer in her community. Outside of work, Shelly enjoys spending time outdoors with her family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

• Kevin Wilson

  Kevin graduated from University of Portland with a B.A. in Finance and began his career in the financial services industry in 1998 as a Merrill Lynch intern. He survived that and then spent four years as an investment analyst in the advisor-training program for Merrill Lynch, during which he held the position of Financial Manager. Kevin is a mentor in the Big Brother, Big Sister Program.

• Jill Novak

  Jill graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Speech Communications. Jill has worked in sales administration for KGW TV and in sales for KINK Radio. Jill has four children.

• Andrew Nelson

  Andrew joins the human investing team as a recent graduate of Linfield College.Andrew studied mathematics and finance with coursework in areas of probability and statistics, financial investing, and strategic management. While at Linfield, Andrew participated in a global Business Strategy Game, placing in the top ten out of over 4000 teams. He was also a member of the school's baseball team and the Pi Mu Epsilon Mathematics honors society. Andrew loves the Pacific Northwest and hopes to call this area his home for many years to come.
