tax payment Instructions

Every individual’s tax situation is unique. Whether federal or state income tax, the instructions below will help you make any required tax payments after filing your return.

 

 

Federal income tax payments

    1. Click here to visit the IRS Direct Pay site

    2. Reason for Payment = Balance due

    3. Apply Payment to “Income Tax - Form 1040”

    4. Tax Period for payment = Year on Tax Return

    5. Select “Continue

    6. Verification of payer personal information

      a. Tax Year for Verification = Previous Tax Year

      b. Filing Status = Status from Previous Tax Year

      c. For the remaining steps use your personal information.

    7. Input Bill-pay bank details

    8. Follow prompts to confirm and complete.

    9. Upload your confirmation to the Vault upon receipt

    1. Click here to visit the IRS Direct Pay site

    2. Reason for Payment – “Estimated Tax”

    3. Apply Payment to “1040ES (for 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ)”

    4. Tax Period for payment = Current Calendar Year*

    5. Select “Continue”

    6. Select “Continue” on the pop up that says “Please Confirm”

    7. Verification of payer personal information

    8. Tax Year for Verification = Previous Tax Return year

    9. Filing Status – Shown on your previous Tax Return

    10. For the remaining steps, use your personal information and select Continue.

    11. Input Bill-pay bank details

    12. Enter payment amount

    13. Enter your email address to receive email confirmation of your payment

    14. Follow prompts to confirm and complete

    15. Upload your confirmation to the Vault upon receipt

    * If you are making a Q4 payment in January, use the previous calendar year. For any questions, contact tax@humaninvesting.com.

 

 

STATE INCOME TAX PAYMENTS

    1. Click here to visit the Oregon Department of Revenue site

    2. Under “Quick Links” select “Make a Payment”

    3. Select “Pay now with checking or savings”

    4. Select "Individual”

    5. Under ID Type select “Social Security Number”

    6. Fill out the remaining

    7. Select “No” for Do you have a payment voucher and hit “Next”

    8. Account type = Personal Income Tax

    9. Select “Return Payment”

    10. Filing Frequency = Annual

    11. Tax Year = Year on Tax Return

    12. Enter your bank information and Payment Amount

    13. Upload your confirmation to the Vault upon receipt

    1. Click here to visit the Oregon Department of Revenue site 

    2. Under “Quick Links” select “Make a Payment”

    3. Select “Pay now with checking or savings”

    4. Select "Individual”

    5. Under ID Type “Social Security Number”

    6. Fill out the remaining information

    7. Select “no” for “Did you receive a notice letter with a payment voucher?” and click “next”

    8. Under account information, use the following: 

      a. Account type = “Personal Income Tax”

      b. Payment type = “Estimated Payment” 

      c. Filing Frequency = Annual 

      d. Tax Year = Current Calendar Year*

      e. Click “next”

    9. Enter your bank information and payment amount

    10. Upload your confirmation to the Vault upon receipt

local income tax payments

    1. Click here

    2. Under the “Payments” select > “Make a Payment”

    3. Review initial instructions screen > select “Next”

    4. About you: select “Individual”

    5. Under “Payment Type”

      a. Payment type = Return Tax

      b. Account Type = Metro Supportive Housing Personal Tax

      c. Fill out Taxpayer ID information

      d. Return Payment Type = Standard Payment

      e. Filing Period = Year on Tax Return

    6. Fill out and verify your address

    7. Enter your payment information and balance amount

    8. Confirm and submit

    9. Upload your confirmation to the Vault upon receipt

    1. Click here

    2. Under the “Payments” select > “Make a Payment”

    3. Review initial instructions screen > select “Next”

    4. About you: select “Individual”

    5. Under “Payment Type”

      a. Payment type = Return Tax

      b. Account Type = MultCo Preschool for All Personal Tax

      c. Fill out Taxpayer ID information

      d. Return Payment Type = Standard Payment

      e. Filing Period = Year on Tax Return

    6. Fill out and verify your address

    7. Enter your payment information and balance amount

    8. Confirm and submit

    9. Upload your confirmation to the Vault upon receipt
