Filing an extension means your new filing deadline is October 15th 2027, but this does not delay payment obligations. If you expect to owe, a payment should be made by April 15th 2026 to avoid interest and penalties.

Apply payment to “4868 (for 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ)”
Tax Period for Payment = Tax year for extension
Select Continue
Verify Identity
Tax Year for Verification = Previous Tax Year
Filing Status = Status from Previous Tax Year
For the remaining steps use your personal information.
Select Continue
Input payment details
Follow prompts to confirm and complete.
Print the page to pdf, then upload to your Human Investing Vault.

Select “Pay now with checking or savings”
Select "Individual”
Under ID Type select “Social Security Number”
Fill out the remaining
Select “No” for Do you have a payment voucher and hit “Next”
Account type = Personal Income Tax
Select “Return Payment”
Filing Frequency = Annual
Tax Year = Tax Return Year for applying Extension
Enter your bank information and Payment Amount
Upload your confirmation to the Vault upon receipt
Under the “Payments” section, select “Make a Payment”
Select the blue “Next” box
Select “Individual” and then select "Next”
Select “Return Tax” and then select “Next”
Under “Account Type” select “Metro Supportive Housing Services Personal Tax” and then select “Next”
ID Type = Social Security Number
Return Payment Type = “Extension Payment”
Tax Year = 2026
Enter your personal information and select “Next”
Select Bank Account for payment method
Enter amount = $
Review and submit
Upload your confirmations to the Vault upon receipt
